Yesterday morning I pulled up Heidi's blog for an update. As I read through her update and followed her link to photos of the P family, I was overwhelmed with gratitude for the health of my children only to look down in the corner and see my Matthew's bright smile. Tears. Lots of them.
Please lift up prayers for Ang & Gabe and their family. I do not know them personally, but have met them through Heidi, around this same time last year. They have a newborn baby girl, Kylie, that is in the NICU after undergoing heart surgery.
From Heidi's blog, some specific prayer requests are:
"But I'm still asking you to pray for her. And her little girl. And her husband and their boys.
Pray for rest and healing for Kylie. Pray that she will get stronger. Pray that her heart is healing and that she will soon be able to be taken off this medicine successfully. Pray for Kylie's mom and dad. Pray for rest and strength and grace. Pray for peace and comfort for them. Pray for Kylie's brothers. Pray for rest and understanding and comfort. Pray for the non-believers that little Kylie is touching. Pray that God uses them to do big things for His kingdom as He's used little Kylie in big ways to reach them."
Please storm God's door for this family and sweet baby girl.
I cannot imagine the emotions that they are feeling. I only know what it is like to go to the hospital praying that there will be no complications, that I will return home with a healthy baby. Praying that if something did go wrong I would still trust God's perfect plan. I only know what it feels like to see their face for the first time and be awe struck by little men that weigh barely six pounds. I only know the sound of a healthy cry. Because of that, this family leaves me inspired by their faithfulness and their trust in the Lord.
I'm in tears reading this. Thank you for praying for them. I love them so much. And you!
