Blizzard Bloghop

Today I am doing something a bit different, and participating in the Blizzard Bloghop. I had "tweeted" the other day about wishing I could go to the Blissdom Conference; a handful of my favorite bloggers are there right now and I thought how neat it would be to meet them in person and share ideas with them live. Then, Ann Marie "tweeted" at me about her #BlizzardBloghop "meet and greet". Sounded fun, here goes nothing.

This is me:

I blog because I think that we grow the most when we can teach others and because I love to learn from others. I thrive from Christian fellowship, something that I am seeking more and more of, and I think that blogging is an outlet to that. This is just one small way for us to let His light shine, to maybe touch a life, and to inspire deeper personal growth. Hebrews 10:24-25 says Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

As my husband and I continue our journey to achieving Financial Peace, I have come to enjoy blogs about bargain hunting and frugality. As a mom to two small boys I enjoy blogs that share ideas on parenting and fun/educational activities for small children. For myself, I enjoy blogs that talk about fashion, crafting and other DIY, fitness and health.

And, "Blessed in the Midwest" is essentially a random compilation of all the above mentioned. I am by no means a "writer" by definition, but I certainly hope you enjoy what you read!
