Talking Back... Teenage Years

Heidi's Talk To Me Tuesday question is:

If you could tell your teenage self anything, what would it be?

Talk less, listen more (what, I'm still going to be working on this at 28?).

Don't gossip, it doesn't make you any friends.

Care less what other people think, and more about what God thinks.

Don't date {fill in the name of all high school boyfriends},
he doesn't treat you the way you deserve.

Save your hard earned money and let it burn a hole in your pocket. You'll wish you had.

Pray first.

  1. Man, there are so many things I wish I could tell my teenage self- starting off with, grades in high school will not determine your life. I spent so much time focusing on tests and 'getting ahead' when it really didn't do anything for me except cause me headaches.

I agree with the saving your money comment...I worked all throughout high school and college and I still had no money after I was done! :)

  2. I could have written all morning long on that topic. But, the only way is to live and learn! :)

  3. To never waste one more moment critiquing yourself in the mirror and wishing that you looked like everyone else but yourself.

And to embrace the unknown and be more carefree (in a safe way of course). :)
